1. Wii has shovelware exclusives, or at least exclusives I or many of my peers could care less about. 2. Wii is where the money is to make more money to make great 360 and PS3 games, that is how things are shaping up. 3. Actually poor 3rd party game sales show to me that Wii ONLY has the casual market, and Nintendo devotees. 4. My best friend, my two sisters, my mom, my dad, my sisters friends, etc. DON'T WANT A WII. Not EVERYONE wants one (I rephrase my statement to "many people are eyeballing it"). 5. Price drops only go so far and cannot stop critical mass. 6. Again, and this is TRUTH, no one I know (and I know many) bought a PS3 for MGS4. I might consider buying it but MGS4 will sell systems to many who have been holding off purchasing it.

1)Your peers are far from the mainstream apparantly, considering how well Wii and Wii software is selling, even the "shovelware" sells well, carnival sold very well for example, for a mediocre party game
2)Great games that the mass market doesn't care about
3)No poor third party sales show that most third parties aren't bringing the same quality that Nintendo brings, if you want to compete with Nintendo you have to bring the top qualty stuff
4)Your circle seems to be the minority, seeing as how most want a Wii and are desperately searching for one, obviously you are not representative of the market as a whole
5)You assume that critical mass has been reached, there is no sign of that, who knows if critical mass isn't 500 million
6)And again your small group is not representative of the market, most who want MGS 4 already knew they wanted a PS3, because it was the system that had it, and already have a PS3, it won't move much hardware unless its bundled
Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!! Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
