Because thats what we do in the west. Its totally hypocritical for us to do anything otherwise. We say our values are one thing and try and impose them on the rest of the world, but then do something else. If you dont like it go and live in north korea or somewhere where they're really down with your whole "no mercy" to "baddies" bullshit.
