lol @ using Sony shipped GT5P figures against 3rd party tracked Halo numbers.  As if shipped vs sold wasn't bad enough, there's also the fact that you can also download Halo 3, and those numbers aren't figured either.

You all realize that SCE basically gave away 300k copies of GT5P in Japan, right?  And according to trackers, it only actually sold ~250k at retail?

Again, when was Halo 3 released on the marketplace? And if you look at the sales of previous titles and compare them to Polyphony's numbers, they're actually very close.

Also, the only Japanese PSN sales we've ever gotten were for Persona PSP, which sold 10k digitally (compared to 150k at retail).  And that was on PSP, a system which has 3 times the userbase PS3 does... digital sales in Japan, from all accounts, are an extreme minority.  Unless you can cite any source saying GT5P sold 100k or more online, it's best to just leave those potential sales aside and simply compare like with like (ie: tracked retail).

Exactly, 2 months ago, man. Compared to GT5:P sales which were available 2 years ago.

Now as for Japanese PSN sales: I didn't know you were responding to aragod. My bad. I questioned you because I thought you were talking about overall sales.

Sorry, my Google translate link didn't bring me to right page.  In Japan, Halo 3 evidently got it's digital/platinum release in Feb 2009, well over a year ago.
