I can really see people in ten years time reminiscing about there time playing Dance central on their xbox 360 like I reminisce about super mariokart, super streetfighter 2 or Starfox on my SNES. Where are the real games like Killzone or Halo? GT5 or infamous 2?

Dance Central, best new game? Really? I think we have just witnessed the death of hardcore gaming then. It not about longevity, innovation, requiring skill, graphical prowess or amazing gameplay anymore. It about which game will appeal to teenage girls and their parents.

Family friendly unit shifters to paraphrase Kurt Cobain.

I guess gaming is about fun now! Oh no! What have we come to!

Most of the games we've seen in E3 weren't innovative, most of them are sequels/spin-offs/remakes/re-imaginings/prequels of other game franchises. Not that is a bad thing, innovation is important, but execution is far more important. Tresspasser was an innovative game for it's time, but it was a horrid and poorly executed game. Ninja Gaiden didn't do anything new, but it's a superb game. I guess we need some of these innovative failures, so developers can learn from their mistakes and execute their ideas well in new titles or sequels.
