I can really see people in ten years time reminiscing about there time playing Dance central on their xbox 360 like I reminisce about super mariokart, super streetfighter 2 or Starfox on my SNES. Where are the real games like Killzone or Halo? GT5 or infamous 2?

Dance Central, best new game? Really? I think we have just witnessed the death of hardcore gaming then. It not about longevity, innovation, requiring skill, graphical prowess or amazing gameplay anymore. It about which game will appeal to teenage girls and their parents.

Family friendly unit shifters to paraphrase Kurt Cobain.

I doubt it would really affect the industry in a devastating way, there are still other hardcore games winning "Best Game of E3" awards. Rage won many "Best Game of E3" awards, and deservingly so. Dance Central didn't look so bad (Other than the nerdy representative demonstrating the game, that footage is bound to be a popular GIF on the internet), it looks like a good dancing game and much better than what they've shown at the disastrous Konami press conference.
