Meaning it has alot of attention from gamers. That kind of controversy is priceless. Its like free advertising. Now thats, not the point where it starts selling, it won't begin untill KZ2 proves itself. If it does get straight A's on the fly, then the gamers will want to play it. Some will play because it got classified as a fantastic game, others will try to convince themselves that the game is still crap and buy/rent it to prove it to themselves. Regardless of who buys it, the amounts of which it will be sold will be much more important. Neither Zack & Wiki nor No More Heros had/has that kind of amount of controversy that KZ2 has stolen in the gaming community. |
well i agree with you on basically every point. the only thing i would argue on is the amount of gamers that this controversy affects. this controversy has been limited mostly to internet forums and it is my opinion that a majority of gamers (those that don't frequent internet forums) will never hear about the game until just prior to release.
I only compare it to zack and wiki because it also had a huge amount of internet hype and also received good reviews (86% game rankings) and still managed not to sell all that well. KZ2 does have more hype, true, but it is the location of that hype that is limiting. well anyways, that's my opinion and my justification for why i made a fairly low prediction.
