And remember. The psychological problem will carry on. People that were abused as a child often grew up... messed up, in some way. That problem carry on in the society and spread.
It could stop if lucky. Otherwise, the problem moves on to different people... like some sort of inheritance.
There are exceptions where victims grow up to be nice people, but would you rather be one of those exceptions who experience such horrors as a child?
Victims are also most vengeful. If vengeance cannot be returned, it will be displaced to someone else, usually family and/or those who truly care for the victim.
