Hmmm... thing like this have happened before though! I mean Amazon UK had Alan Wake listed on the PS3 for months until it was removed lol! And we all know that wasn't going to happen 
Will just have to wait and see, but if Versus is anything like XIII due to the 360 involvement then it will be a sad day for FF fans as XIII's battle system and lack of... well... ANYTHING is simply just awful and boring (coming from a huge FF fan)
