133 brands, across 15 product categories, in New Zealand. Given those are the parameters of the survey it's expected that there will be a wide range in the top 10 (though a toothpaste company is kinda weird). And do you expect only multinationals everyone's heard of would be trusted? Actually, I kinda expect the opposite. So if you have never lived in NZ it's hardly surprising you've never heard of half the companies on the list.
NZ Post is the postal service BTW, but you're hardly expected to know that. Just wanted to make sure you don't think we trust the newspapers / news media; that would be weird
