I've just realized how ridiculous that sounds. Not because it is wrong, but because it is true. Games shouldn't even be announced unless they are coming in the next 1 or 2 years. Of course though, SE seems to love to get the hype going half-a-decade early, very unlike its parent companies, who seemed to have a consistent enough release schedule.
