The newer 360's are a lot more reliable than the old. As far as online play is concerned, if $50 a year is too much, then I can't fault you for not wanting the 360. On the other hand, there's nothing like a Halo 3 frag-fest online.

 See I'ma have to dissagree :D Now we have FREE online Unreal Tourny III Frag-fest's :P and for hectic online multiplayer goodness it almost doesn't get better XD
