I've never had interest in Medal of Honor because really since I knew DICE was makng the Mutliplayer and that Bad Company 2 is a very good game, I decided that later this year I'll just get Bad Company 2 over Medal of Honor.
Then a few days ago fellow member SpartanOmega was giving away Beta codes and so I though this was the perfect opportunity to see whether I should be interested in MOH and he was happy to give me one and my god I'm glad he was gave me the code.
It's really good. The gunplay is great, the controls are great (exactly like MW2 layout and that's great for me) and overall it's real good fun to play the game.
But here are some common issues found in the beta:
1) It freezes you PS3 occasionally. I've only ever experienced the freeze once while playing Team Deathmatch but other players have reported that they've yet to complete a full match because their PS3s were freezing.
2) Lag. This is the only gripe about the beta right now. When you get killed, there's this sudden lag which irritates me a little. But I haven't experienced overal lag where it reaches the stage where it's unplayable. Some people have reported that there is significant lag but I have yet to notice that and the only form of lag I experience is when I get killed.
Sure this is only just a beta but freezing PS3s is not cool. Right now EA has released a Patch for the NA beta players and I've still waiting for the European Patch to come live. The patch is supposed to fix the following problems:
1) People getting kicked out of the match without reason.
2) Prevent PS3s from freezing
Overall I can tell you that it's shaping up to be a really good game and hopefully the lag and freezing problem disappears so that I can spend more time on the beta. Now I'm leaning towards buying Medal of Honor over Bad Company 2.
