no. the other GT games have a attach ratio to there console of like 10%. if GT5 sells 20 million copies it would have like a 29% attach ratio to the ps3(if sony sells 75 million console wich is on the high side). i suspect around 8 million copies for GT5.

If you understand the big picture, attach ratio might be interseting but not really usefull. When you don't understand things, its totally useless.
GT3 sold what it did before PS2 hit 80 million.
So by your logic GT5 is set to do GT3 like numbers.
By the way Prologue is near 5 million, try to wrap that around your mind. A 40$ demo that has maybe 5% of the content of the final game does that. Think just how freaking strong that franchise is if it can pull that of.

Not only that, but GT5P managed to sell more than the competition's full game (Forza 3), which is on a system with a higher install base.
If that's not an indication that the franchise is still mighty strong, I don't know what is.

I'll see that and raise you a Halo 3: ODST/Killzone 2 comparison which is even more impressive considering that:
1. ODST launched at $60.
2. ODST multiplayer (the main reason why Halo is so big) is the exact same as the Halo 3 multiplayer.
3. ODST more than doubled Killzone 2's sales.
4. ODST launched in the same holiday season as Modern Warfare 2.
If these facts don't make people realize how big Halo still is, I really have to scratch my head.
