When in the generation do you buy your consoles?

I know that I am really going out on a limb here, but I assume your birthday is on the same day each year. The N64 launched in March, the GC in May, so one of the two statements must be wrong.

Anyway, here's when I got my systems:

NES: christmas '91
SNES: chrismas '94
N64: bought at launch
GBC: bought 1 year after launch
GBA: bought 5 months after launch
GC: bought at launch
DS: bought at launch
Wii: bought at launch

You caught me here. My birthday is on the 21st of June in most of the years, so it's more like four months for the N64. I knew that the GC launched in may (on the third if I remember correctly) and I knew that the N64 wasn't out for too long when I got it, so I just assumed it was also released in april or may.

For the record, my other consoles too (but I'm not too sure about them anymore)

GB: summer '94 (I got it for our vacation in Tuscany together with Wario Land, and I couldn't figure out how to beat the first boss the whole two weeks we spent there!)
SNES: '94 or '95, really not sure
GBC: first christmas after launch, I think it was released in summer.
