Kinect couldn't do Dance Central easily even, and that's with Microsoft software engineers addressing Harmonix's issues and hurdles directly. As usual, I think you're overshooting Sony's real world capabilities... |
Sony's R&D team are already half way through there own exoskeleton program for the move. it tracks the move of course, elbows, and the head. yeah I know its not a full body exoskeleton.
here is a vid of it.

from the vid you could cut corners only tracking certain points. instead of exactly along the users skeleton.
for the depth I think as long as the move is in the camera it can calculate other things distance, depending on there size in comparison to the glowing ball on the end of the wand. I think I remember reading something a while back about it acting like a virtual screen. if anyone looked at 3dv systems tech before ms bought them over. they where able to get a invisible virtual screen in the image. before that you needed a physical green screen to get depth. well the move ball thing basically acts like that.
I didn't think the move could do full body though but the kung fu fighter live thing a from before e3 showed him using his legs. so maybe move can do full body.
so I think it is possible for this game to done with the move at reasonable level of quality but you would either take a lot of time mapping a persons skeleton which ms have already done or you take short cuts like mention above.
correct me if I am wrong
stop me if I am bias
I love a good civilised debate (but only if we can learn something).
