Well ,if retrocompatibility doesnt bother you too much the 40Gb is an excellent option .The cameras and other devices can be connected through USB ports so you dont need the card readers ,you can use USB hubs to have 4 ports if you want ,and as for the space the hard drive is removable and you can connect external hard drives if you want so no big deal .
PS2 retro is the only thing really missing .But you can stick with your PS2 for that .
