Wouldn't this be a question you ask before you decide to replace your old PS3?

To answer the question, nothing other than it's smaller, quieter (major one for me, my old PS3 was a jet engine), and uses less power.
Oh, actually, there is another thing-- they did the incredibly wise thing of getting rid of touch senstive buttons! Yay! I hate those things.
