I like some shooters as well, I've been playing them since Wolfenstien 3D, but I've never been able to cope with using a gamepad for them. Then I played Red Steel and starting shooting the guns right out of the opponents hands, that was cool as hell. Metroid Prime was the first time I enjoyed a console based "shooter" game (even thought it's more adventure) because the auto-lock meant I could actually focus on the game than struggle with the controls. Besides the fact that I was blown away by every aspect of the game itself. ;)
