I don't see why Microsoft would encourage players to sit down to showcase their games at E3 when the point is to get them to be active, and engage themselves with Kinect. Forza...same thing, in real life i walk around a car to look at it, i don't sit down and magically float around the sides to check out the fenders, and tires. To go as far as saying Kinect will ONLY support games that you stand while playing is ridiculous, especially since that's not confirmed, it's more of a rumor as it stands (see what i did there). In any case some games will require you to stand because "depending on the game or experience" it's warranted. I wouldn't play Wii Fit sitting down, so why would i for Fitness Evolved?
