I have friends who all have 2 or 3 360s each, though when they got the RRoD, they just sent it in to get it fixed. these guys are beyond obsessed with the Halo 3 multiplayer. and while I definitely think that the actual number of people who own a 360 is less than vgchartz says, I still think that it would be a decent amount higher than the PS3.

Well, its true, and that does explain why the 360's #s are almost 2x as high as the PS3's. The PS3 is doing about as well as the 360 did at that point of its life.
