Nintendo's highest price system is the orginal DS which was $150 but was cut to $130 at the launch of the DS lite 2 years later. The only time they got close to $200 was DSi which is $170 and that's considered a upgrade to the DS lite so its priced higher and the same is DSi XL which is $190 I think
Nintendo is too cheap to cut the DS's price so they just raised it. Anyway the DS could be $75 and still make a profit for all the time its been out.
