Isnt that sort of the point?

The commercials are to try to sell the PS3 to people who dont own one, not those who already do.

I personally like the Kevin Butler ads, but they are there to sell the console to those who dont already own it.

That is true but you have to be interested in getting a PS3 first.  Which I do not believe to be the case here
