Could care less suggests you still have some interest regarding the matter at hand and there is a possiblilty it can go lower. Couldn't care less shows that as things stand, you are at the bottom of your level of interest i.e your interest in the matter is non-existence...like some people regarding this thread for instance :D |
That one *really* bothers me because so many people say it and don't realize how stupid they sound when they say it. It bothers me even more that I was listening to the new American Idiot Broadway cast recording and that even made it into one of the songs!
