This isn't a hate thread, he just said that Nintendo is gamerscritic-proof. And he's correct.

Besides that, some people aren't even trying to argue with him or understand his point, they're just saying "your ass is sore of E3".

He's objectively, quantifiably wrong, and so are you if you agree with him. Nintendo has gotten mroe hate than any company this gen. If you are of the opinion that people shoud be able to hate on a company without baclash.... well, that's rather one-sided, now innit?

So, just because Nintendo got hated in the past, we can't criticize it now? And I'm honestly not understanding how Nintendo is the victim. They've made tons of money with the console that everyone criticized, while Sony had huge losses with the console that everyone said it would be the future of gaming. So as you can see, words meant nothing, or better yet, words did nothing.

See? This is what he was talking about. He says something not-good about Nintendo and 5 mins later "Nintendo Defense Force" is bullying him. You've done what he expected and now he's completely right.

Umm...you can say the same thing for Sony and MS fans too. If anyone made a thread like this for Sony or MS you think they wouldn't get bashed? Not likely.

You mean critic-proof now?  When you are Nintendo, and you bring your revamped versions of franchises people loved from the past, and eager to see, it ends up being hard to want to be critical of them.   They got fragged RUTHLESSLY by the critics, and gamers, and game media when the Wii was announced and the press conference that Wii Music was announced at.  The level of criticism thrown at them then is what I am seeing now regarding Microsoft and Kinect.  People make fun of the animal game, and claim the videos are faked.  They are ruthless at them.

Why does Nintendo seem immune now?  Well, they offer what seems to be the most leading edge technology in the form of 3D without glasses.  And then combine it with the comfort level of franchises people have loved.  This is like someone who came in with a litters of puppies and kittens.  You are so emotionally affected by them, you aren't going to be as critical of them, and you certain don't want no sourpusses to affect your mood.

Then I think we agree lol Plus that's a great analogy. Even if the puppies mess up your house, you'll still think they're cute, so you won't mind. Just like Nintendo: even tho it might have (slight) flaws, everyone will still love 'em. All the OP said is that the puppies aren't as perfect as everyone say they are. And I agree with that, don't you?
