Yeah, I don't get the implication that Sony is actually angered by this. I believe they ment the statement they made. Logically it makes sense that more than just Sony is promoting 3D tech and the pleasure they take in it. Everyone can maintain the right to complain that 3D in home is expensive now, but the prices will fall as the market saturates. If the 3DS sells well it can only mean good things for Sony, as it will drive the technology and Sony will be given more room to develop cheaper solutions.

We all know that TV's that can do what the 3DS can do are coming and the quickier the technology saturates, the quicker the price falls, and the quicker everyone gets to play in 3D, cheaply, wihout glasses, and on a 60" screen. Sony has a vested interest in Nintendo's success, because it ensures their success.
