It's always a bit funny to see that many Ninty fans don't believe anything Sony says but would believe everything Nintendo says on the other hand. But I don't want to talk about that point now...
I think Sony is pleased because they will see if it appeals to the mass market. They saw that regarding motion controls and they will see that regarding 3D on handhelds. And I don't even know why it's bad to copy something that works quite well.
