In my opinion, the PSP Go was an experiment to see if Sony went a different direction with its handheld if it would work. Ironically, it featured many of the things that people say Nintendo does not have (or has not had) -- and it did not sell. I think Sony sees the 3DS as a bridge to bring people to 3D TVs and the 3D PS3. In other words, it may cede the handheld battle and use those resources for the console and television wars.
