If it is using the same speech recognition tech as Windows 7, I would say whatever Win7 supports, which is quite a bit.

According to this page Windows 7 doesn't support many languages:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/Windows7/What-can-I-do-with-Speech-Recognition

Speech Recognition is available only in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

I hope Kinect supports more than that, at least if Microsoft wants to reach more of the european market.

The Xbox 360 probably doesn't support that many different commands, and it probably doesn't support dictating text either, so it should be much easier to add languages than with general speech recognition.

I wouldn't bet on it though.

Time will tell I guess.

Also, if you search google for 'kinect languages', this thread is the first hit. Which kind of worries me. xD

'natal language' just gives a lot of hits for the actual Natal language.

Everyone keeps saying the 360 is dead in Europe and Japan anyway so whats the issue?
