Yay by that time I'll only have to work 3 jobs to afford one!

Though honestly you can get the tech cheaper if you just buy 3D computer monitors, hell they all hook up with HDMI anyway so what does it matter, the people that are going to buy this stuff are likely to be teenage to late 20s single males with nothing else to spend their money on, they really don't need that 42 in 3D ready TV, most likely they're going to be in a dorm anyway, and monitors are plenty big enough now.

I heard that right now 3D monitors don't work with PS3 3D, because they don't work in 3D with HDMI1.3, but only with Duallink-DVI - most should theoretically be able to do the PS3's 3D modes (1080p24/720p60) via HDMI1.3 with a firmware patch, but.. manufacturers probably want to sell new sets, so people have to wait for HDMI1.4 monitors
