I think Nintendo will probably take into consideration the lack of consumer interest in a $250 gaming device in the PSP Go when it comes to pricing, but it ultimately boils down to their per unit manufacturing costs and the initial profit margins they are shooting for on each unit sold.


Big difference is PSP GO is a step backwards that takes features AWAY from the older product. 3DS is ten steps forwards adding features in everything. U$250 for PSP Go is extremely expensive and stupid, considering you can get a 3000 that does everything the Go does and play cheap UMD games as well. The 3DS for U$250 is NOT expensive. That's a very poor comparison.
