yeah but there is an uncertainty as if PS4 launches in 2012 then it could be difficult for GT6 to come out on PS3 as GT6 will come in 2013 as just releasing after 2 years a GT sequel will diminish the GT franchise

Well GT4 was released in NA in 2005, a year before PS3 was released so im sure even if releasing GT6 after news of PS4 wouldnt hurt the franchise i believe.  And i dont think PS4 will be out for 2012 but news of it would be would be arising.  There's too much going for PS3 right now to cut it off in 2 years. (normal PS3 games, 3D/blu-ray support, PS Move, etc..)  I'd say PS4 will be out no earlier than 2014 and that'll give GT6 plenty of time.

yeah it won't hurt the franchise if GT6 released 1 year after PS4 release but then it will also remind people not to upgrade to PS4 so fast

also if GT6 released after PS4 launch then GT7PS4 will have to be atleast delayed 3 years and that would not be good for PS4 sales

 

its not like they would release GT6 after PS4 and then release GT7 on PS7 the next year which will not happen as POLYPHONY will not have time and  then they will be diminishing thr franchise

 

PS4 will be out even if delayed by 2013 as SONY releases their consoles 6-7 years everytime also that if they delay alot then XBOX 3 and Wii 2 will have caught the public's eye

 

PS MOVE is only to sustain and add the feature to PS3 but not anything significant.BLU-RAY support has already been sealed.3D is basically being done for next gen as more people will have 3DTV's by next gen by the PS3 push.

Good points, so in Sony's best interest if they were to release PS4 3-4years from now that they should either release GT6 before then or save it for a PS4 launch as Munkehh mentioned.

Very true how releasing a big PS3 game to near/after PS4 release date would definitely hurt PS4 sales and i dont think Sony would like another slow start for next gen.
