Nintendo gave us a more concrete 3D product with the 3DS. Sony's can be enjoyed whether in 3D or not. Microsoft doesn't create technology to be revered in gaming, so really their opinion means nothing in the matter. When they start making technology then I might be able to take them seriously. Microsoft is a software company. They need to focus on acquiring top notch developers before their investors pull out like they are planning on doing already.

the thing is I take Microsot more serious than Sony regarding 3D, due to microsoft not having a product for 3D.
Sony is using its fanboys to try and push 3D on all of us, just like they did with blu ray. I hate being used by a company. They are pushing these 3D games becuase they want us to buy their 3D tvs, and then their 3D blu ray movies and so on. And that list there is one thing that is common, involves buying and buying new stuff.

You have a point and Sony did use the gamers to save their format, but 3D is inevitable and Nintendo showed us with their handheld that it can be taken seriously.

That is a Myth because even before HD DVD was released The Blu-Ray technology was already in consumer's hands 3 year's that's three year's prior to even the first HD DVD box hitting the consumer market. when all but One Consumer Electronic manuf. companies from the get go supported Blu-Ray over HD DVD's 2..that was Toshiba and Microsoft..it was not going to loose.
it would have been drawn out yes but there was no way HD DVD was going to win..as for the rumor that Warner BROS was paid off that also is just a myth because the WB was on the board of director's of Blu-Ray since the Blu-Ray founder's was started.

Sony was just one company in the lot of many that support Blu-Ray because the technology was already been on the consumer market since 2003.
that's the real reason why the technology already worked is one of the reason's Sony used it.

Dude....Blu Ray had lower sales than HDDVD. It was after the PS3 launched and Sony made the rental exclusivity deal with Blockuster for Blu Ray as an alt HD format that BD made HDDVD a non-factor. It was never any other way until those things happened. Whether u like it or not the people were used. Sony knows their loyal market well.

look the problem is you an many other's are looking at it from just the P3 FORWARD..The Blu-Ray format was on the Market before the PS3 was even made!
hell it was even a recordable burning format right off the bat in 2003! that's 3 year's before Sony even released the PS3
22 of the largest Electronic's firm's including every one of the movie studio's from 2002 to 2004 all supported Blu-Ray before HD DVD was even ready!
Blu-Ray already had a CE electronic product in japan in early 2003, and SONY was not even the only one.. and Pansonic soon followed with Blu-Ray devices of their own in 2004.
HD DVD was only there to put FUD in the eye's of the consumer..Blu-Ray would have made it with or without the PS3
the reason why is simple:
only Toshiba made HD DVD optical drives!
the rest produced Blu-Ray optical drives.
from 2001 on Blu-ray founder's was already setting up the licences 2 year's before HDDVD WAS EVEN READY.
Yes the PS3 helped but the real problem for HD DVD was it was just too late..without microsoft Toshiba may not have even tried to move even forward with HD DVD Toshiba being the only one to produce HD DVD was pretty much all she wrote.
the PS3 just help speed it along. but we were far from being used. the format worked, it was on the market 3 year's for consumer purchase before HD DVD was even released. without Microsoft I doubt very much Toshiba would have even gone forward.
As for CHDVD like Blu-Ray both was submitted to the CHINA'S govt. and both were excepted.
HD DVD was just that a format to split the market because Microsoft had to try..!
