All of you saying you charge on your laptop and other... that implies your laptop being on, so it won't charge overnight as it would if hooked to your PS3.
(however, a wall USB charger is probably more practical and cheaper than the wii charge stations.... Though, don't batteries in the DS3 start decaying after a few years? can you change them?)
