It's really a non-issue. Battery life on all the Dualshock / Controller peripherals is superb. It's not a total pain in the ass like running on AA batteries can be. Searching high and low across the house for a spare set of expensive batteries. I love not having the need for batteries. You can charge all of your stuff when you AREN'T using your system or plug them into one of several other USB port devices. It's actually less of a pain in the ass than having to run out to the store at Midnight because you just used your last set of batteries.
