I think it would be fun to be on a gaming reality show.....but the $10 and hour pay for a game tester doesnt seem appealing. Either way good luck and have a blast.

I'm pretty sure the game tester job the winner gets is much better than that.  It's more of a quality assurance position.  Probably at least a 30k starter job.  If it were only $10 an hour I'd decline and wouldn't even bother.  I already make way more than that per hour.

I hope I get picked just because I would love to do it as an experience and as another couple week vacation from everything else!

I know and have known a few testers for Activision(I live a town away from the guys who made the Original _____Hero games). The people who actually play to find bugs from early builds all the way through gold status get around $10 an hour. My friend also knew someone who worked in Cali Coast(he tested the newest Wolverine game) who made the same. Im not sure what other position in testing there is, but as I said you should go for it just for the sweet experience of being on a reality show. They may pay you a bit more just for being on the show. It could potentially get your foot in the door for a game journalism job.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
