kowenicki is right.  This has nothing to do with 3DS.  He's clearly talking about the expense of the TVs and the adoption rate.  It makes little sense to go full-board into that realm when such a small percentage of the populace will have 3D televisions for the near future, and an even smaller percentage of them will be gaming on them.

3DS has nothing to do with the high cost of TV's in your living room, just as going to a 3D movie has no bearing on this.

3D tvs really need to be 52" and higher to work appropriately at this point, and you're generally paying at LEAST $1000 more for the 3D.  A 3DS will be, what?  $30 more than regular DS maybe?  It's not the same thing at all.

The worst part of E3 week is the blind fanboyism.  It makes me want to gouge out my eyeballs.

He's not shilling for MS.  He's READING.  And THINKING.  That's a GOOD thing.

Wrong, he also aimed the 3DS

some people are really missing what he is saying here....

no:

this was not just aimed at Sony:

"Thompson instead backed the experience of Kinect, the company's hands-free motion-control tech, over the 3D experiences offered by rivals."

he's talking about both Sony and Nintendo..
