Which is more suitable to a desk than a living room. People want fewer cables and less clutter not more cables and more clutter. The PS3 appeals to people who want an all in one system with less clutter where you can play games, watch movies etc in the one box. Adding a bunch of cables everywhere is contrary to many of the reasons why people bought a PS3 in the first place.

um no  that's why i said a powered hub. it does not need to be plugged into a PC or game console just the Hub need power. like a ac adapter USB HUB
