People actually charge their stuff on their ps3? I just have a powered USB hub that I use for all things that need to charge that way. Much easier than leaving the PS3 on or doing it while I'm playing.
Also if you are charging your move controllers, you probably aren't using the eye, so you can just unplug it.

Does it really matter where it is? It doesn't need to be front and center in your entertainment center, just wherever an outlet is. No different than having a device to charge all the batteries in your other controllers.
