Actually, with the 3DS plus Sony pushing it plus the continued drive in cinemas MS risks being the odd one out if the masses really swing to it.

I'm not sold on 3D at home yet (cost plus technology) or on the move (with 3DS because you'll need to be still and stay in one position for it to work) but it looks like it's going to grow in popularity for sure.

Only Nintendos solution is ready for mass market adoption. How can Microsoft be left behind on 3D at home when adoption is still moving at a glacial pace and the technology isn't ready for primetime for gaming until the next generation of consoles is released?

Nintendo will likely outpace home 3D adoption by a factor of 10:1 over the next two years. Furthermore they will probably outpace the gaming aspect by at least 30:1.
