There has been some controversy behind the Eurogamer article, even over at gtplanet.net.

Mainly of what KY means by interiors, because he separates Interiors from Cockpits. If by interiors he means the inside of the car (engine, rollcage, underside, etc, etc) makes sense for the premium cars to be the only ones having it, since they're the ones with the full damage modeling. 

 I think it's best to wait until there's more info out to make any final conclusions.
