Are you sure you don't mean expendable rather then expandable? Both statements make sense your either complimenting Kojima for the fact that he can play both sides of the field, or your mocking Sony for casting him off without consideration.
Speaking to the story. I would say it was poor public relations in regards to the most basic responsibility. How hard is it to smile, and be polite. Especially over a damn bracelet, and you know it probably wasn't personal. The person handing out the bands just wasn't very polite with people. Which means that the first step Sony made was to piss people off, and that is all it takes to get someone who is fence sitting about whether they like a product to tip over on the negative side.
Someday someone is going to realize good help is worth the extra money. Especially since you probably going to lose more for having bad help.
