3D in the console space wont be impactful until next gen. The cost of entry is just to high. In addition to the TV itself at this point my family would need to spend an extra $600 (minimum) on glasses. So he is correct in what he says.
As for the 3DS I will think about that once I know the price.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
