Dunno, it's a complex question.

Move is literally a Wii HD. Will probably captivate existing users more than Kinect, but for me Kinect has much more potential. Will the market respond to something so different?

I did see a trend, Sony clearly paid off EA and Valve for stuff like the total 180 switch Valve has done Steam on PS3 PS3 exclusive stuff like Medal of Honor HD and Dead Space Extraction HD. So maybe Sony is now gonna return to their PS1 and early PS2 days of moneyhatting like MS has done this gen.

just like call of duty exclusive DLC on the xbox360..lol

As for money hatting

do not be so sure of that:

"Today during Sony’s press conference EA revealed that a Move enhanced port of Dead Space Extraction will come pack inside Dead Space 2’s Limited Edition. Previously exclusive to the Wii, Dead Space Extraction was a brilliant on-rails shooter which ultimately garnered more attention for it’s shockingly low sales than anything else. No word yet on whether Dead Space Extraction will be available independent of the Limited Edition but I suspect this announcement also means that we can expect the former Wii exclusive to also appear on the PSN in the near future."

does that looked like it was money hatted to you?

the game was already released on the Wii, Sony is getting a motion controlled port and you think that's being money hatted?

Yes, simply because they also said Move wasn't required, you can play it with a normal controller. That makes it zero reason to be PS3 exclusive unless they got paid, specially when you factor in that they announced it with the LE, not PSN (for now), which is a message saying "buy DS2 on PS3 not 360 because we offer a whole extra game" - if that's not platform promoting, I don't know what is. Same with MoH HD. And obviously same with the CoD DLC on Xbox. And the Valve thing, like I said, zero chance that happened without a payout.

I'm not criticizing Sony, for me the "timed exclusives" and "moneyhats" are just business, gaming isn't a charity industry. I was just pointing out that Sony fans usually get on the MS-moneyhatting-hate, but Sony does the same, they just hide it better.
