It's not useful eitherl. Torture isn't effective and it never has been when it comes to extracting info. All the information you extract is pretty much useless because the person is going to be lieing to you... and it's going to be impossible to tell the truth from them lieing to get you to stop.
It's rather pointless. It's the same reason drugs arn't used to get info out of suspects.
Sadly the only candidate that really understands this is the one who actually went through YEARS of torture. Yet nobody wants to listen to him.
Pretty much any sort of backround in psychology can tell you why torture NEVER works. Outside of like... causing intense hate at the people torturing you. (Which at best if they are already terrorists, does nothing.)
