You miss my point though. I was talking specifically about 3DS's ability to play 3D movies.

If people buy and watch 3D versions of their favourite movies for 3DS (which will undoubtedly be cheaper than bigscreen Bluray releases), there would be (at the very least) less (and in some cases no) incentive to buy said movies on Bluray to watch on their PS3 and Sony 3D tv's. Thus Nintendo taking away some of Sony's potential profit. It's only logical.

We'll see, though. I'm not saying this'll happen, just something to take into consideration.

i did not miss it..there is a big difference between portable and Home theatre.

as for cheaper than Blu-Ray releases, do not bet on it.

Blu-Ray is the defacto HD 3D standard the Movie companies are all backing the Blu-Ray format if anything Nintendo would be getting a blu-ray ported release!

that is still not the same Market!

portable will never replace home theatre it's just not going to happen because the screen is too small for the family to enjoy.

even with a connection cable to hook up the 3DS to a TV the resolution would like the PSP suffer.

it's just not going to happen.
