@ joeorc: You miss my point though. I was talking specifically about 3DS's ability to play 3D movies.

If people buy and watch 3D versions of their favourite movies for 3DS (which will undoubtedly be cheaper than bigscreen Bluray releases), there would be (at the very least) less (and in some cases no) incentive to buy said movies on Bluray to watch on their PS3 and Sony 3D tv's. Why purchase the same movie twice, right? And at a higher price, needing a pricey 3D-capable TV and a Blueray player/PS3, PLUS expensive glasses on top of all that. I could easily see quite a few people forego the latter in favor of the 3DS solution, especially parents with kids. (SOME, not ALL).

Thus Nintendo taking away some of Sony's potential profit, from their TV-, movie-, and PS3 sales. It's only logical.

We'll see, though. I'm not saying this'll happen, just something to take into consideration.
