Im really struggling to see the value proposition here. It just doesn't seem like a good deal really. $130 is the minimum cost which doesn't even give full functionality in all Move titles and yet all that does is give access to Wii Sports clones and the ability to substitute your right thumb for your wrist if you don't count using a DS3 as a viable alternative to the navigator.

Why pay close to Wii prices to access a weaker library when you can pretty much pay about as much and grab a Wii instead? Even if someone had a PS3 and no Wii, it'd still make more sense to get a Wii instead of Move.

Because unlike Wii there will be real games for it, you won't have Mario packed into every other game title released on the plastform, and graphics won't put you in danger of losing your eye from pixelosis seen on the screen.

That's before we go into "little" things like included BR player or better online gaming.

I'm not sure if move will steal a lot of Wii customers but it certainly removes a lot of reasons which ps3 owner could have to buy second console.

Also last time people argued about Total cost of ownership it was in xbox vs $400 ps3 fat case. Looking back to it we can clearly see that having tons of hidden additional costs with lower entry barrier is better than more complete package on the mass market. Price tag for move is hefty but you won't be spending it all at once.

Completely right about the 360 vs. PS3.  Many on the web, myself included, were always showing how the PS3 was actually cheaper than the 360.  Even when the PS3 was $100 more than the 360.  However, Joe Public doesn't care about that.  All they see is the initial price tag.  One of the reasons the Wii was such a hit.  And why the 360 was out selling the PS3 in late '08/early '09.  But, as soon as the initial price was the same, people saw the value of the PS3, and it has been outselling the 360 WW since.

And as others have pointed out, these prices aren't very different from those of the Wii-motes, yet people still buy a boat load of those.  So when the Move and Natal are released, most people will see is a $150 or more camera, as opposed to a $100 bundle with a camera, controller, a demo disc, and a full game.  Definitely not saying Move will sell boat loads, but I think it will have the better chance.
