That seems excessive, doesn't it? DMC3 sold less than 200k its opening week on an install base that was nearly 12x as big.

I think it will do well (in part because of this bundle, as you said), and I certainly don't think the attach rate will scale lineary with install base, but still... that would be one heck of a turnaround :p

I expect lifetime sales on the PS3 to be 250-300k.

Yeah, but remember, DMC1 happened to launch at almost 400k in Japan dispite a MUCH lower install base (than DMC3) and being an unproven new IP. One of the reasons might have been that the Japanese simply didn't have much games to play at the time, makes you wonder how badly the Japanese are starving for a new great PS3 game.
