Sony also had a $100 price drop, you know that and it's kinda sad you asked the question. PS3's didn't sell because they had a new design, they sold because they became cheaper. Sony also had a fantastic line up shown at last year's E3, don't down play their success.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
