Technical marvel -- potentially.
But I noticed latency on the demo getting all of the raves -- the Kinect Animals (the screen hands did not match the girl's hands).
Casual players may not know what latency is. But they do not like when things don't work right. There is nothing worse than bad motion control in a Wii game, even to the casual crowd. And often, those games don't sell because word gets around.
In other words, as I have said before, price and performance will dictate the success or failure of Kinect (nee Natal).
Nothing in this evaluation or the demos that I have seen lead me to change my thoughts. (In other words, I think it could succeed but I am skeptical).
